Leading the Charge in Climate Risk Finance
The Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA), in partnership with the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers (ABIR) and KBRA, welcomes climate thought leaders to Bermuda, the world’s risk capital, for a two-day, invite-only climate summit, hosted at the exclusive Rosewood Bermuda, located along the stunning coastline of Bermuda’s Castle Harbour.
Bermuda is already the world’s risk capital and is now looking to establish itself as a world capital for climate risk finance, the most adjacent vertical to our key market strengths: re/insurance, Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS), and financial services expertise. Bermuda not only has many of the world’s leading experts on weather-related catastrophes already based here in our globally significant property catastrophe reinsurance market, but we also have a financial services regulator, in the form of the Bermuda Monetary Authority, which understands the importance of climate concerns.
You should attend this event to connect with senior policymakers, leading scientists, NGO-heads, and business leaders, who will all be sharing their unique insights and solutions for the world’s biggest challenge, climate change. Travel & COVID-19 Protocols
With significant testing and comprehensive safety measures in place, you can confidently host colleagues and clients from around the world while our beautiful island lifestyle offers a temporary reprieve from the pandemic. Bermuda is a place for connections you might otherwise not be able to make due to travel restrictions and quarantine requirements in other destinations.
All vaccinated travellers will need to fill out a Travel Authorisation Form prior to their departure. Upon arrival to Bermuda, vaccinated travellers with a valid pre-travel test have no further testing requirements.
Any traveler in need of an outbound test will be automatically booked for a pre-departure test matched with the requirements of the guest’s destination.
