Hurricane Sally was the eighth named storm to make landfall in the US during the 2020 North Atlantic hurricane season, and the first storm to impact the Alabama coast since Hurricane Ivan (2004). After making landfall with 105 mph maximum sustained winds, the storm decayed rapidly and brought high winds to parts of Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.
