KCC Event Brief - 2014 South Napa Earthquake

In late August a magnitude 6 earthquake occurred in Northern California. Named the South Napa Earthquake after its location, this event caused significant damage to residential and commercial structures, including public buildings and wineries. The event provided an opportunity for KCC scientists and engineers to test the new RiskInsight® earthquake Reference Model for credible estimates of ground motion, damage and loss.
