KCC Event Brief - Marshall Fire

From December 30-31, the Marshall Fire quickly burned through 6,000 acres and nearly 1,000 structures throughout Superior, Louisville, and unincorporated Boulder County, Colorado. Downslope winds as well as unseasonably warm and dry conditions helped fuel this late-season event, which is part of a larger trend of longer fire seasons as a result of rising global temperatures.
